F&C Private Equity Trust plc is a fund of funds. It invests in private equity through a fund of funds approach, including primary commitments, secondary commitments and direct investments. Funds are well-diversified by industry, geography and stage of investment.
Objective:
There are two share pools within this fund. The objective of each can be summarised as follows:
A pool: to manage the existing assets and to realise the value of those assets in a tax-efficient manner and return capital to shareholders
B pool: to achieve long-term capital growth through investment in private equity assets mainly through specialist private equity funds and co-investments directly in private companies internationally
