Graphite Enterprise Trust PLC is managed by Graphite Capital Management, an independent investment firm established in1985 and specialising in private equity investments. Graphite Enterprise makes investments in private companies both directly and through specialist funds. It offers private investors access to an important part of the economy which is otherwise largely inaccessible.
Investments are diversified by sector and by size of company with the great majority of the portfolio in mature, profitable companies. Generally, the investments are long term, with a typical holding period of between three and five years. Over two-thirds of the investments are in the UK with almost all the remainder in continental Europe.
